How ticket transfers work for Utah teams
Every major Utah team issues official mobile tickets, and every one of them has a free transfer system for moving tickets between fans. That transfer is how fan-to-fan resale actually delivers: no PDFs, no screenshots, no meeting in a parking lot. But the mechanics differ by team, and knowing which kind you're dealing with saves confusion at checkout.
The SeatGeek teams: Jazz, Mammoth, RSL
The Jazz, Mammoth, and Real Salt Lake all ticket through SeatGeek. Transfers are addressed to an email: the seller picks the tickets in their SeatGeek account, enters the buyer's email, and sends. The buyer accepts in their own free SeatGeek account and the tickets are theirs, exactly as if the box office had issued them directly.
This is why Beehive asks buyers for a SeatGeek email at checkout. Give the email of the account you actually use, because that's where the tickets will land.
The schools: BYU, Utah, Utah State
The three schools run their own ticket systems, and their transfer forms are addressed to a mobile number rather than an email. The seller sends the transfer from their school ticket account, the buyer gets a text message, and accepting from that text puts the tickets in the buyer's own account with the school.
So for BYU, Utah, and Utah State orders, Beehive checkout asks for your phone number instead. Use the phone you'll actually have at the gate. One more school-specific rule worth knowing: student tickets, including ROC, MUSS, and HURD passes, can't be resold at all, because the schools revoke them when they change hands. Beehive doesn't allow them.
The 48-hour window, and what protects you
On any Beehive order, the seller has 48 hours from the sale to send the transfer. The buyer's payment sits with Stripe the entire time, and the seller isn't paid until the buyer confirms the tickets arrived. If the window closes without a transfer, the buyer is refunded in full automatically. Nobody has to chase anybody.
- Buying: enter the right email (pro teams) or phone number (schools), accept the transfer promptly, then confirm on Beehive so the seller gets paid.
- Selling: send the transfer to exactly the address on the order page, and mark it sent so the buyer knows to look.
